标题:DETERMINATION OF POTENTIAL FOR AIR POLLUTION FROM CO-COMBUSTION OF SLUDGE FROM A DYEING INDUSTRY WITH COAL IN A PULVERIZED COAL-FIRED BOILER

摘要:In this study we have monitored emissions from co-combustion of Sludge from a Dyeing Industry (SDI) with coal in a pulverized coal-fired boiler (PCFB) at a dyeing industrial park in Guangzhou, China, in order to assess the ecological benefits of SDI incineration for energy recovery. After treatment, the air-pollutants concentration of fly ash, SO2 and NOx had dropped to below 39 mg/Nm(3), 47 mg/Nm(3) and 83 mg/Nm3, respectively. Heavy metals in the fly ash, including Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Cr, Ni, Hg, As were present in the ash and dust, with some small amount in the flue gas. The dioxins from the outlet varied from 2 x 10(-3) to 21 x 10(-3)ng TEQ/Nm(3). The concentration of all pollutants in the chimney exhaust remained within limits set for emissions by the Guangdong locative legislation and European Directive(2000/76/EC). These test results reveal that co-combustion of SDI and coal in a PCFB with an efficient pollution control system is a practical method for SDI disposal.
